Who will take the photos for my listing ?
You have to provide us with the photos and virtual tours for the listing. Once your listing is activated after payment, you can edit the listing and upload photos and virtual tours.
Are there any specifications for photos ?
If you are using a digital camera, set the resolution to 640*480. Pictures should be in jpg or gif format. Also the picture width should not exceed 700 pixels. Image size can not exceed 1 MB. If the width is more than 700 pixels you have to resize your picture using photo editing software. If you do not have one, you can download a freeware irfanview to resize your images. Coppermine gallery has a nice tutorial on how to resize images using irfanview.
Do you have any suggestions for taking photos ?
If you are using a digital camera set the resolution to 640*480. Turn the date and time feature of your camera off to avoid printing date on the picture. Avoid glare. Remove clutter and keep the area clean. Don't include jewellery and other valuables in your picture. Take your picture horizontally. If you are taking a picture through window, don't take the picture through the screen. If you are taking an outdoor picture, keep that area clean and free from clutter and maker sure the sun is behind you so it shines on the object you are trying to photograph.
Who will create virtual tours ?
You have to provide the virtual tours. Once your listing is activated after payment, you can edit the listing and upload photos and virtual tours.
Are there any specificatons for the virtual tours ?
Virtual tour images should not exceed 3000 pixels in width. Pictures should be in jpg format. Image size can not exceed 2 MB.
I have not created a virtual tour before. Do you have any suggestions on how to create one ?
To create a virtual tour you need to create panoramic images and stitch them. If you are new to creating panoramic images, panoguide.com has a nice article on creating panoramic images without any additional equipemnt.
How do I get the links to my listing ?
Once your listings are active, visit My Listings page when you are logged in. Your listings will be available there. You can copy the link to your listing from there.
